Set in the 19th century, The Key is a dark comedy that tells the story of a young woman trapped in a chastity belt. The film, symbolic and striking, dives into themes of bodily autonomy and gender equality.
Written in the emotional wake of Roe v. Wade being overturned, this story comes from a deeply personal place. As writer, producer, and lead actor @miarosekavensky shares,
“This film poured out of me days after Roe v. Wade was overturned. I couldn’t quite put my emotions into words, so instead, I wrote a story. It’s deeply personal, yet it speaks to the plight of so many women today."
